I recently used the red epic for a fashion photoshoot, for a new designer.. here in Greece.

And since i had the RED EPIC for the whole day, i shot some ''spec'' spots. Hope you like them. Would love to hear some feedback since i m just starting out in the fashion industry.

RED Epic is indeed the best camera out there.

You can see some of the photos of the photoshoot here : http://nonasvii.tumblr.com/

cheers to all the RED fans out there

Hey Kimon, care to describe the lighting set-up and what lenses were used (better yet, BTS pictures of the set-up would be great)? It's always fun to hear how you were able to get such nice results.

Nice work but Vimeo compression makes me mad and sometimes I think it doesn't make sens to put some amazing works made in 4/5k with amazing cameras to see them in 720p with ugly compression.

Where is the ultra high definition video service ? There are still in 720p, holy crap.

Nice work- I wouldn't of desaturated that much. When she walks down the corridor would of been nice to put a light just out of frame behind her bouncing off the rear wall or diffused, to back light her right side and get the smoke whirling around her as she walks to camera. Great work though- I got a fashion shoot with an Epic next week- going to see what a still is like printed too- have you tried that?

Hello Kimon. I'm glad that you like the EPIC. Thank you for the cooperation.

Hey Mike, sorry for the late reply..
We used a Kino Flo 4Bank as a keylight, and some tungsten lights (650) with lighting gel for the background... to achieve the ''ramp'' lighting on the library.

Hello Ali, thank you for the compliments..
I actually had a back light, but apparently wasn t strong enough.. and unfortunately, i only had 4 hours at my disposal for the whole shoot.. But i'll have it on my mind for the next shoot. Thank you for the tips..

cheers

Beautiful slo-mo. Suggestion - third clip - last shot - throw a hard beam at a a sharp angle in from the side to put some color and highlights on the jewelry. (I am assuming that the jewelry is the point of the clip.)

Hello Joseph, indeed the jewelry is the point of the clip. i had a lot of crisp and clear shots of the jewelry.. but i decided to put this one, because i loved the faded look and the not so clear image. i put the model just in front of the kinoflo, and start shooting at a really close distance trying to get some flare.. i know that if it was a real commercial i would have to emphasize more on the jewelry, and to show it more.. but i decided to do a more artistic look and feel.

cheers mate
