Red Epic Dragon humidity and heat?

Never seen anything like this one.
- I suppose could have left the cam looking at direct sun with a closed aperture for a while - can create sunburns, but they woudn't be on the edges from both sides, so I think not really this one
- Fungus?
- Did you ever had a cam shutting down from an overheating? Like running your cam for a long while over 70*C
If you live in Asia or have a really humid and warm climate - I think it's fungus. If you do Live in South-West Asia, try asking local rentals on this subject
Also, an Epic-Dragon has interchangable OLPF's, did you try removing one and looking on where's the problem located - on the sensor itself or the OLPF? Might be some humidity in between the OLPF and the sensor. **Update - ah, see this one, it's on the sensor.

Have never seen it before, but it looks like mould/fungus on the inside of the sensors' cover glass.
If the growth hasn't spread onto the sensor itself it might be possible to clean it off the cover-glass, but I don't know how sensitive the coatings on that cover-glass are, so it might need to be replaced.
Once that cover-glass is removed your sensor becomes vulnerable to dust and other contaminants, so ideally it'd be done in a proper clean-room rather than done yourself at home.
Am curious if the camera was left unused for a long time or subjected to water or moisture?
I'd contact RED and see if they think it would be worth having it checked out (they don't repair DSMC1 camera's anymore, but might be able to tell you more about how damaged it is and if they think it's salvageable at all).
