I am about to purchase a Red Dragon package, and I would like some advice if i should pick up the clutch(BT) around 3200, or something a bit more economical. I would like some advice and options if anyone knows any. I am a student and this is my first Red camera.

Thanks in advance.

You might want to look into W00den Camera's shoulder rig with the dovetail setup - really cool and works well. I know there are a few threads floating around on here discussing the best shoulder rigs, so you may want to do a quick search.

Movcam is cool

Camera Accessory solutions SpiderGrips are what I use for handles. Not a fancy website but the best handles in the biz

I Sling my shoulder pad off the top using lightweight 15mm bracket to bring the camera closer into my chest and hang the battery off that.

Various shoulder pads with 15mm LW support that can do this for various price points.

my approach is camera should either be tucked into the chest cat on shoulder style, or on top of the shoulder but not too high. Heavy camera way out front= arm/back pain and weird nodal point for body panning.

Thank you for the responses I am definitely going to look at those options.
