RED Epic and Scarlet...

I would not be too worried about this. Scarlett will not be the long Que
Red was, since the Red Team is a pretty smart group of folks and Jim has said previously that production of Scarlett will be in much greater numbers(parapharasing, of course) and I am sure initial limits to quantities purchased will be in place again as well .
Thanks for the reassurance Paul. Just looking forward to getting my paws on that camera. Working up a list of little mini-film ideas to get myself trained on the RED before I tackle my first feature film. Just get the fear i'll be so back in the list that I won't be able to shoot at the end of 2009 with it and have to push a year.

The only complaints Scarlet owners will have... "why can't we get Epic specs for 1/10th the price?". :-)

Jim

Yeah, why can't we? :-)

So is your post about orders for Scarlet being caught up by Fall 2009 still true? I could live with that!

I'm already having dreams about being at NAB and doing my best to be the first in line of a mob of people to place orders for a Scarlet.

So if owning a RED one helps in getting a Scarlet, I guess we'll be seeing a lot of soccer moms donning a RED one pretty soon, just to get a hold of a Scarlet when the time comes. Or are the soccer moms no longer part of the intended audience, now all attention has changed over to hockey moms.
The question of course is: how RED will the lipstick on the pig be when shooting Scarlet?
Time for bed. Clearly.

What's a DSMC?

Jim

"What's a DSMC?"

so the DSMC has been folded into another product?

Or has a name now?

That is possibly the most intriguing thing Jim has ever posted.

So many pssible interpretations.
