Well it seems the red bags work perfectly as dust protector when it comes to shoot motocross videos! But I'm wondering is there something really made for this purpose to cover against dust.

I have seen some videos or images of reds full of sand or dirt but I'm really wondering if they are seal so perfect that I shouldn't mind having any dust hitting my camera.

Best

Rodrigo

use see thru trash bags they are better cause you can see what you are doing, love the idea though and the best part is you can make custom ones that u can cut holes and use velcro then you have it done to a system and it takes like a couple of mins to set up and you know its protected

Dust - and other fine particles - are just, if not more damaging to your optics.
If you are in an environment where you are concerned about contaminants getting into your camera, you can bet it will find it's way into the lens mechanics.
Never mind the front element on the lens.

EWA-Marine makes a splash bag they market for protection in wet environments. I've found it to be equally effective in cases of grit, dust, you-name-it.
Protects the equipment within the sealed bag and features an optical snap-in port for the front of the lens. Designed to provide good access to the controls.
At the end of the shoot, just wash it down.

Costs more than a shopping or trash bag - but if your equipment is at risk for damage - worth every penny.
