According to Jim:

EVFs will begin to ship with 51-100, but they are in short supply. RED Drives end of October, Nikon mount in November and Canon FD after the 1st of the year (although I have heard that someone is making them now).

Anyone actually received a Red Drive yet?

Jim had this to say about the RED DRIVE just the other day. Sounds like we're getting real close...

I'm using one right now... it works fine expect if you bump it pretty good during recording. We don't have a fix for that. You'll need to keep it for slamming around during recording. The new firmware build shows dropped frames, so you know right away if there was a problem. It works fine if you keep it on the camera because there is less tendency to smack your camera around. I'm probably making this a bigger issue than it is, but don't want anyone to be surprised if they slap the drive around during recording. It is solid, but not as "solid and solid state". No real surprise.

It seems to record "forever"...

I received #83, paid in full for the EVF, but none arrived.
When was this posted?

I suppose this will always stay a real problem with hddrives, using firestores allday myself , we always end up having completely destroyed clips.
anyway the workflow was the most attracting to me and will probably also be like that when i've got the reddrive.

That's an old post. EVFs aren't shipping yet. Apparently a few went out with the very first batch of Reds, but that's it.

that is a real problem - there are too much different informations about the red stuff on the board - and in the market.
would be nice to have clear words from Red. Much better than any rumours.

should be no problem to keep estimated delivery dates on Red.com.
