Red Drive: To buy or not to buy

i wonder how long they will continue to service the red drives is another concern. i would love to get one considering the price per gb, but i am afraid that when this last final production line sells out eventually down the road they will stop supporting the media and then i have no clue how to service them...

Thanks everyone, this is helping a lot. I had forgotten about the limitations on shooting higher frame rates. That alone pretty much makes the decision for me. One of the huge advantages of a Scarlet is the ability to offer those high frame rates. I do wish the SSDs weren't so doggone expensive, but the extra time for Scarlet to come out has allowed me to save more for that sort of expense.
