  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

That sucks, but you could just use one cable pretty easily. It would be nice to have a backup around in case of failure - aside from that I'd rather have the cable attached to the camera when the drive is being offloaded... so using one cable is very possible. (as predicted, here come the RED price increases)
 
I meant 3' not 3" of course.

Comes with. The cable is listed on the store for someone who wants a backup.

EDIT: I guess this no longer appears to be true. It was true for me when I ordered--but it seems like it is no longer true.
 
Official word from Red is needed here.

Meanwhile you should ask your BombSquad partner to tell you what you have to do.

Okay, now that I read the entire thread--it may no longer come with the drive--but for mine I definately didn't order it separately and I definately have one! Of course, I may have to look closer on my invoice!!!!

Please Thom, while it was true at the time you took delivery, this is no longer true, and I had to buy a cable for my drives as I was told by my rep (Dan Duran) that the drives did not include any cable.

This sucks!

I ordered almost a year ago, but after the $2500 discount was removed. The camera was originally scheduled for a Dec. delivery. Now I have to pony up another $200 for the red Drive I ordered last April.

Bad business. Very disapointing.
