Recently got my new camera RED DRAGON #02363. All very cool just appeared one problem. Our team started to do tests and found that after 20 minutes of operation of the camera, the screen turns green and nothing helps , sometimes when you switch it on immediately green. tried to put 5.2.28 which shows that fixes issues with RED MINI-MAG SIDE SSD MODULE ( we have such) but no results. This strange defect behaves as he wants and not does not depend on any settings and temperature settings and BLACK SHADING CALIBRATION . Another interesting thing is that when the green screen camera records video as usual, but what you see in your screen is completely green ! Now I think we brought a faulty SSD MODULE!!!! Please help with advice ! What could be the cause of failure ? Can someone faced with something similar. I will try to attach a photo.

Are you saying that the recorded footage is fine but the video output is green? If so, it sounds like the SSD module is fine. Does the green screen show on all video outputs? Either way, be sure to contact Red Support to get it resolved as quickly as possible.

maybe its the cord to the monitor? Try and contact your bomb squad rep, they can help replace the faulty part or diagnose the issue...

Hi Dima,
I've our screen go green occasionaly, usualy resolved by either unplugging and replugging the cable or restarting the camera.
I would say the problem is either the cable, the monitor or the output (on the SSD module).
You should definitly have a spare cable, test that.
If you're renting the camera, you should have an EVF. In any case it's always good to have anothe smonitoring option. So you should test with that. If you don't have one, borrow (or rent is necessary) a screen from someone lese.
Lastly, if it's the SSD module's output, you should find someone with a Scarlet or Epic and ask them to borrow their SSD module. It just a few screwws to take off and put back on. We've just had one of ours destroyed by an incompetent user, as the camera was going back our for a shoot, we took the SSD moudle froma another camera and put it on the one with a problem, and the camera was up and running again in 5 minutes.

Good luck,
Damien
