Ok I love RED, but heck I cant afford a 100 us dollars for a tee shirt! 75 bucks shipping charge is a little insane.

For the love of god is there anyone out there that is willing to buy me a T and a cap and mail it to me in NZ?? I will send you the greens before you order it including the mail to NZ which should be about 10 bucks per International Priority mailbag. Come on guys share the love....buellar....buellar...anybody? Anybody?

Fair warning, I just ran the FedEx calculator out of curiosity and it came up $95 shipping for a 1lb package.

Hey Gavin, yeah Mate, have to go with USPS...they have flat rate Priority International. Cost me about $9.00 to send clothing from the States to my Nephews back in NZ when I lived there ...takes 5-7 Business days. FedX and UPS are off the chart for international shipping .... Heads UP USPS have up to 20lbs Priority International flat rate for $50.00 5-7 days to get to NZ...Cant beat that :)

If it's something cheap and not going to pinch you if it gets lost...USPS is great...for rates. BUT NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER use them to send something you value.....when sending out of the country....exception is Canada---but i learned a long time ago when sending an old Nikon mount to S. Africa via Priority Mail with TRACKING....
...when it didn't show up in 7 days; called USPS....gave track number; their reply---oh, but when it leaves the country we have no way to track it.....you did know that didn't you? my reply---ummm, wtf? Anyway, after i think 4 weeks and the guy i sent it to digging like hell to find it...it finally revealed itself...AND out of country customs folks KNOW this about USPS and take things out of packages ALL the time or sometimes they dissapear all together....in mexico i've also had this happen where customs officials randomly check mail when coming into Mex...and SD cards or anything shiny disappears....

....the crust of this is yeah, sounds like a great deal, but not for anything important....

Hey Johnny! sorry to hear about your troubles mate. Truth is I used them all the time to send stuff to my family in NZ. I have sent my Parent iPads and a lot of our belongings when we moved back to NZ as we couldn't afford to ship them at the time. We have a 100% hit rate with them and never paid taxes etc. But you do have a point. With FedX and UPS they specialize in International shipping and have a great system in place for tracking... I guess we were damn lucky ;)

I sent some stuff to my friend in Argentina. What I was told was that once USPS leaves the US it gets handed to XYZ's national postal service. Which is probably fine for NZ but in Argentina was completely untrustworthy.

So in the case of your shipment to Africa as soon as it landed in _____ it probably got transferred to the local post and all of the reliability inherent there-in. Fed-ex and UPS use their own delivery men so they actually have some accountability.

hey, i take chances all the time.... i get it John...totally. I never forget though....if it's something $$$ i usually back off USPS and bite the bullet...99x out of ten great...that one time usually sucks out the wind of the other 99....Clothes etc...no problem...I-pad...umm, guess NZ has some decent customs folks.....and i'd say every country has its reputations...NZ likely not as low level when comes to customs in say Mexico, Africa, Columbia etc.....I just came back from Ecuador and someone cut open a bag and stole a camera....luckily it was not RED, but a brand new DSLR that someone asked that we buy them from B&H and bring to Galapagos.....Gone! certainly not mail, but it's rather same with mail in Ecuador.....hence all the human mules bringing back camera gear because mail is far to untrustworthy....again same where i live in Mex....human mules with camera/dive gear going south and drugs going north.

Gavin: correct! in fact it's so funny at my old POBox in downtown La Paz...the guys putting mail in it would open ANY letters that looked like they might contain $$....hard cash is usually sent from time to time here with mexicans in US sending relatives $$$....and of course if it looks like it could contain $$, it gets opened....I'd laugh when i see it, but i also get it....Yeah, NZ from what i hear isn't anything like the 2.5th world.
