it's a cartoon folks, specifically designed to make you laugh by being over the top, clearly this is not the way to conduct real business. the coyote doesn't really fall off the cliff or launch himself in a rocket, it is just funny. get over yourselves and find a way to enjoy your lives and revel in this moment in time where we are apart of something new and experiencing collectively the frustrations and jubilations of an industry in transition.
10 years ago i was part of the digital cinema revolution, placing d-cinema projectors in art house movie theatres throughout the world. on the front line at these theatres you can't imagine the resistance and sabotage taking place by the embedded projectionists and staff.
there is no right answer, way to act, level of professionalism that is perfectly right. bring integrity, knowledge, hard work and respect to the table and your business will be an indication of how well you are doing.
if you didn't think this is funny. don't watch it, making statements about how this whole xtranormal way of making content is beneath you, well, then don't pay attention to it. i think doing drugs, drinking alcohol and coffee and smoking cigarettes is petty and classless but i dont go to bars at night, or to starbucks with a sandwich board sign and a bull horn telling everyone they are idiots for partaking in those activities...i just avoid it.
this is a community of individuals that are sharing an experience, although there will always be those that are negative and less self assured pointing out your weaknesses in order to build themselves up, i think life is too short to be a critic and rather I find it a more pleasurable experience to gravitate toward people & things that make me happy.
