RED digital cinema projector!?

[Johan Samzelius]

I have heard rumours about a RED digital cinema projector in the works..
Since I own and run a cinema it would be nice to know if there is any truth in this, and if so is it 2K or 4K and how far along is it?!
Best regards

So far, all just rumors. I'm sure RED has looked into it. There was a time way back when, where it was mentioned that they were considering displays and projectors.

If RED does make a projector, I expect nothing less than pristine 4K.

Thanks Jeff for your thoughts! And if someone hears something more please let me know.

this is about as close as you'll find to any current info regarding displays . In my mind i could'nt see why Red would'nt be working on bringing 4k + displays to the market they are after all called d Red Digital Cinema.
Fundamentally it doesn’t make sense to produce 4k + acquisition without a means to deliver it .
