RED deliveries...

Speaking for myself, I am not in a position to
fly to LA and pick up the camera in person.
When it comes time to take delivery perhaps
by then a DVD training session can be included
with the cameras?
I know the value of hands on but for some this
would not be a viable option.

Thanks

My cam is sched for 31 december. I'm planning to pick it up in LA. I'm then open for a red day and for an invitation for a new years eve party, pls count my girlfriend too and specify dress code. Thanks... :whistling:

Sounds like a good idea! Guess they are too busy to consider this at the moment?

I wish I had the ability to literally kick myself in the face...because I would... I should have reserved my RED back in May 2006 when I heard they were taking reservations...but instead, I waited like a loser until August.. moron.....and now I am behind...

Zod Flam... I can't wait until I get this metal box of lead and wonder..

damn....

drunk. :)

Richard, don't sweat it.

The difference from May to August 2006 isn't that much.

Red had close to 300 reservations from NAB Week 2006, which was in April..... So in May, at best, would probably be only 50 reservations earlier/better than what you have now, which isn't to bad at all. I have some friends in the 900 to 1300 range that would trade with you in a heart beat.

LOL Now, me on the hand..... If only I would of flown into NAB on Sunday! (I had a ticket for Wednesday) Instead I spent Monday on the phone from 9AM until 4:30 in the afternoon dialing and listening to a busy signal. (Insert Robert De Niro's voice here ) "I could-da been in the first 20, I tell ya! I could-da been somebody! Jim, you should-da looked out for me....., just a little bit."

I kid I kid.

Looking forward to meeting a lot fellow RED fellows.... 51-100, on Friday the 19th! Look for me, I'll be the guy with the ear to ear grin:-)

There is a slight modification to the delivery schedule for 51-100.

If anyone is unhappy with this delivery schedule, we offer a 110% refund of your deposit.

Jim

So....a 110% refund. The quality of a company is comprised of two rules.

#1- how a company treats their customers
#2- how a company deals with adversaries, complications, problems, changing schedules and strategies while keeping rule #1 first and foremost.

Red has exemplified that spirit.

Mathew,

The deposit has been refundable since day one. If you put down $1700.00 18 months ago, it is fair to expect about 3-4% compounding if the money was sitting somewhere.

At the very least the refund ensures that you are being refunded your money plus a healthy interest rate. It's better than fair and a nice gesture.

My point exactly. In today's business environment, Red should be used as an example of proper business practices.

Matt

Here is the math

1700.00 @10% compound interest for 12 months would grow to 1878.01
1700.00 @10% compound interest for 18 months would grow to 1973.89

If you put your money down in the first 100 then it would have grown to $1973.89. 110% of 1700.00 is a refund of $1870.00.

So if you quit it cost you about 100 bucks. No big deal.

David

Guy's, the deposit was only a $1K in the beginning.

And 10% interest?

LOL Tell me where I can get that.... Please!

5% is on the high side when you look at the interest rates in 2006.

I'm with Sam... 10% return ?????,,, maybe if you bought google... We all invested in a future technology that we believe in... it was not a stock... As Always RED has been upfront and honest, and we are all along for the ride..hoping to finally have a camera that helps us do what we love, and do it cost effectively...

As the deposit was $1000 and 10% interest for 1 year is $100, I don't get your figures.

!!!!!!BRAIN CRAMP ALERT!!!!

Sorry. Sorry. Sorry.

I was basing my number on a 10% deposit not 1000.00.

This was a stupid thing for me to post because the difference (if any) is negligible and 110% refund is a great deal.

can this end it?
