We had a chance to sit and talk with Ted Schilowitz. During the discussion we asked Ted the following questions:

How many modules can you stack?
Functions of Gig-E on the new H.264 proxy module?
Will current Red Owners/Future Epic owners still have priority to buy Scarlet?
Is it possible to stack more than one battery module or i/o module?
Battery life of single battery in handgrip?
Will the Epic have the ability to run two red lcds (instead of one evf and one lcd) at the same time?
Can Proxy Modules do overlays or burn-ins?
Prores module on the horizon?

There were certain questions that could not be answered just yet, but the overall vibe was that alot of products are market driven.. with that said I put my vote in for a prores module.

Really nice informal interview. Liked it a lot.

Ted has completely perfected the shorthand talking about RED.

Hey,

Thanks so much. This was actually one of the most informative interviews I have seen and it addressed a number of questions that I have been curious about.

Thanks Tonaci. Despite the informal environment, I agree with Rob, it was one of the more informative interviews.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I am more of a camera geek (which clearly shows in this video hehe) who prefers to be behind the camera. =)
But Ted is such a great speaker man.

Zhibo, really nice meeting you at Red Day. The chroma module thing is something Justin O'Neill asked about in this thread: http://reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?t=43962

We don't know how possible or feasible such a module would be but I decided to throw it up on our poll over at http://cinetoolz.com.

If anyone has suggestions on possible future modules, let me know and I'll add it to the list. =)
