  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RED DAY... Feb. 13th

There was an entire thread devoted to this with a very clear subject heading:

REGISTER: RED DAY, Feb 13

Post #1 from Brent described exactly how to register.

Not sure what you're trying to do here (although I have an idea), but that post was not under Recon, where Jim's announcement of the Feb. 13 Red Day (and many other official announcements) appear. In fact, it wasn't even under Red Discussion, where another major thread appeared; it was buried two levels deep in a Red One-specific forum. This doesn't make sense, considering that a lot of the interest at this event will revolve around new products.

The post you cite was also more than a month after the announcement of Red Day, and again not in the same thread.

You may have the free time to scour the dozens of pages of multiple threads in every forum for unannounced tidbits, but I've suggested a more reliable and efficient way of getting the information to people who don't. That's all.

I had no trouble finding registration info only hours after Brent made the thread..

I found a couple links posted on the original Recon post about registration. With that being said, I can definitely see where people are coming from who missed out on registration. I barely made the cutoff date as well, and am grateful to have made it. I was really expecting for the registration to be posted by Jim or at least posted in the same thread, which would make the most sense. I'm glad some others posted a link there. I probably would not have found the registration on my own without that. It's definitely harder for someone to keep up when they're not on this 24/7.

Anyway, can't wait for saturday. Will be awesome!

heh heh heh...

the "hardcore" REDUSERs knew exactly where to look for the registration details as Brent mentioned, and considering it is a REDUSER RED DAY afterall, that kinda seems fitting :)

I made sure I would know where to look in advance. I knew how popular this would be and kept up to date with all the info.

Wasn't hard, didn't take time and I'm grateful to Red for hosting.

Sitting on the A-380 in Sydney waiting to take off to LA! Big-Ass plane!

Jim

Happy trip, Jim...and don't forget about those Jarred interrogation instructions we were taking about. I have great confidence in you bringing some good inside info upon your return. No more artsy back-lit photos with no key light...LOL

Our 'aussie' spy in the sky! You carry all our hopes and dreams Jim

Have a ball. And don't let them yankies give you any crap about your accent!

I'll be representing Queensland from the Aussie faction. 4-7pm session. Which one are you booked in for Jim?

What about Red lurkers/fans that have been following since the inception of the camera but are sadly too poor to own at this point in time. Are they invited to the LA event?

I tried PMing Kelly to get on the list for this, but it didn't go through.

Is it still open? I went to the unveiling of the One at the old Warner lot 2 years ago and am DYING to go again for this year's event...

I keep imagining what the crowd is going to be like there, and keep seeing that I'll be the poorest person there. lol

*prints out snazzy business cards*

I doubt you will be the poorest. Some of us already bought a Red:)

(Not a negative comment on Red pricing, by the way:) Just that some of us were already poor, but saw the potential and could act)

Heh, You got it Pawel!

James, funniest thing. On the flight over I was next to an American lady who said she never would have guessed I was American. Sounded 100% Australian to her. I KNOW how funny that must sound to you!
