  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RED DAY... Feb. 13th

Just tell them you're a republican who is for the death penalty.

That normally does the trick...

Unless that happens to be the type wanted by one side of the argument. If you get selected and have to report, the only real way out of it is for a medical condition that you can substantiate.

If you are systematically placed on a jury, you're just there and have to deal with it. If there is an actual selection or voir dire process where you are questioned or profiled, the best way out is to just be very opinionated and somewhat wishy-washy.

I've been summoned twice, once it turns out I didn't have to report. The other time I did sit through a voir dire session and I was questioned, by the plaintiff side I think. I didn't get selected, but they asked a few generalized, but somewhat scientific questions. I think they were looking for people who would not be swayed by forensic evidence vs. circumstantial doubt.

Anyway, I'll have to see what's up as we get a bit closer to RED Day, would love to be there, just don't know yet. It's only a day and a 2 hour flight each way...

I thought both sides had to approve of a prospective juror...

If you are talking "Descensus" then I vote YES PLEASE!

hehe, thats the one :-). I figured by then we could have it nicely polished through your Pablo and ready to get up on a projector :-)

I'm totally there assuming I don't get picked - I got called to Supreme Court Jury Duty selection on Feb. 8th (already used up my one-time postponement) ... RED DAY sounds so much more fun than twelve angry men.

I need to figure out how seem like a bad Juror choice ... thoughts ...?

Watch "Runaway Jury" for ideas!

Depends on the court, the judge, where they are in the process, etc.. Or at least that is what I've been told. I'm no expert on court process. I know that when I reported that day, I waited for nearly an hour before being asked about 6 questions from two people. They then released me to the next room where I sat for another 20 minutes or so when my name was called again and they told me I could go home.

I know several people that have reported to various state or local courts for jury duty and have just been placed on a jury with no preliminary questioning or approval. And then they have to sit through a day or two of tedious back and forth between a contractor wanting to be paid for work done and a homeowner not paying because the work is supposedly unfinished or not done properly.

Hey Mark,

A photographer that my wife assisted for back in the late 80s claimed that incontinence worked well as an excuse. I suspect no court actually wanted to see proof of the condition.

Here in Fairfax, VA we get a waiver if we are self employed and are the sole source of income for our family. They might honor that condition elsewhere.

is the plan to have the TATOO program units going out at that time as well??

Um, the first post says Epic/Scarlet prototypes (which I take to mean not working) and then working Mysterium-X in Red bodies. Though I'd love to be wrong and get a Tattoo before then!

Just walk in and say you hate whites, blacks and any other colors. You are suicidal, and think all criminals who make it to court are guilty and deserve the chair.

That should do it.

What follows holds true in Los Angeles County.

No. If that were true (that both sides had to approve) then a jury would never be seated. Rather both sides have a limited number of objections to evict jurors of whom they do not approve. Once those objections are exhausted the attorneys are SOL.

As far as a venue for RED day might I recommend someplace between Temecula and Corona? Central to all of S. California and right off of the 15 fwy.

Yeahhhhhhhhh baby, will be there, nothing can stop me

I hope you are wrong.

It's certainly not uncommon to have "working prototypes", as oppesed to "non-working prototypes".

Given that the ASIC was the last major component required, and the inital batch came out of the oven ~2 months ago, and then it was ~ 3 weeks ago that the testing indicated a metal-respin was necessary, Jim's comments appear to indicate a ~30 day delay.

Feb 13th is 2 months from now. If the 30-day delay is correct, then it's possible that the re-spun ASIC will hit before the end of hte year. The re-validation time would likely be shorter, and if successful, could be installed in protoypes in time for 2/13.

A boy can dream, can't he?

Or just ask the judge to explain how "jury nullification" works.

They love that.
