  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Just tell them you're a republican who is for the death penalty.

That normally does the trick...

They'll ask you if there is any reason that you feel that you can't serve...raise your hand and tell them the reasons that you feel that you can't remain impartial, in this case, because your sympathies are already allied with the defendant/prosecution and you are inherently biased and incapable of rendering an impartial decision...exit stage right.

This RED day sounds intriguing...will it be the same/different as the January 16th presentation ignited by the CML tempest?

Point at the accused and say "Well he's obviously guilty, just look at him!" If that doesn't work, state in a monotone that you believe that your God Zazu from the planet Nixelflix will guide your way.
 
Haha, Feb 13th is my Bday :) Seriously! I'd like to add another vote for a possible east coast date some point in the future.

Well, I guess there are many options:

1. Be honest: Tell them you have a date with a "crazy billionaire" with a business card stating "Mad Scientist" (I assume their brain will face a completely different kind of mad scientist, like Dr. Seltsam or the like and they will immediately let you go...).

2. Tell them: "Yeah, I come, I want to film it, from hearing to decision making to execution. Cool, first time in full 4K stereo. Is there enough light where the execution takes place?" I am sure - if you are not in texas - they let you go :)

3. Tell them you have visions... :P

But 12 Angry Men is one of my favourite movies!

I'd recommend taking with you a very obviously philosophical book with you for reading material while waiting. Think something by Bertrand Russell should work. Nobody wants anyone interested in moral philosophy on a jury....

Kind of a random thought here, after the main presentation is over, if I brought a Red short could I put it up on the projector? :-)

So on the CML announcement it says January 16 but here it is February 13th. Is there a correction somewhere or are these two separate events?

Also the wording is mostly a copy-paste. My guess is that this Feb 13th is somewhat of a repeat for Redusers at large.

Also the CML thing was originally billed as a 'get feedback from ASC/CML to put into the design of Epic' but now seems mostly billed as a show and tell. Either way it's good to get those guys in there.

Curious that the two events are a month apart and that the 'user event is only two months before NAB, why not just wait? I'm still trying to figure out if I should spend the coin to fly down or just wait for NAB. Hopefully more news/info will come out that'll make my choice clearer.
