The latest 3cP software now brings its extensive capabilities to a new group of industry professionals, DITs, with 3cP providing an all-in-one data management solution in addition to its well-known color correction capabilities.

3cP.4 works with data from any file-based camera, including RED build 20 .r3d and—with additional codec software—Vision Research Phantom high-speed .cine files and Arri D-21 RAW files, and P2, H.264, Canon 5D MkII compatible. 3cP also supports footage from Panasonic, Panavision, Viper and Silicon Imaging digital cameras.

3cP. 4 will also soon support the RED Rocket™™™!

Additionally, 3cP.4 can now produce dailies on the set in ProRes and Avid formats, as well as Apple iPhone formats. 3cP.4 can even sync production audio BWF files with footage for inclusion in the dailies it generates.

In addition to existing support of industry standards—including the ASC CDL, 3cP CDL, 3D LUTs, and direct interface to color correction systems like Apple Color and Color Finesse—3cP.4 adds support for the Academy/ASC LUT and CinemaDNG image data format.

Recognizing the on-going changes in the cinematographer’s profession, 3cP.4 has entered a new realm, that of lighting pre-visualization. 3cP.4 offers the first-ever lighting software for cinematographers, helping them pre-visualize lighting design and ratios, and quantifying it in standard terminology. This new utility will help those who use it work faster and more effectively. Attendees will leave with a strong understanding of data management and how to keep an accurate color consistency throughout the pipeline of production.

Gamma & Density’s 3cP has been used on over 25 major motion pictures and television series, including “Iron Man I & II,” “Quantum of Solace,” “State of Play,” and “Kite Runner,” “The Tudors (I-IV),” and “Babel” to name just a few. Among latest productions using 3cP is NBC’s Red and Canon 5d mark ii photographed show “Southland”.

Michael Fimognari, the young DP of upcoming "Au Revoir Taipei" indie feature used 3cP for few productions, and nothing better described his experience as this comment: “We were all over the city streets in mixed color temps, often shooting on the fly without a gray card, yet all the dailies (both print and video) were spot-on thanks to 3cP."
