  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Red Danger

they have to stop production..........afther they delivered mine !

The desktop publishing and audio revolutions increased accessibility but they also enabled MORE demand for professional work. It's also made it possible for more control over ones work. Guys like moby would probably not exist without the home studio audio revolution.

That pretty much sums it up.

its the beginning.....lets say in 20 years...

Software is the one that has to catch up.

I think the future holds the opposite. As newspapers and books die and bandwidth ever widens, the demand for high quality visuals is going to increase exponentially. Those who can create high quality visuals will be working a lot. Also remember that content is king.

Books were always for the few. They will continue to be.

Newspapers? OK.

But no iShit can take away the paperback experience.

Did editors lose their jobs just because every OS now ships with an editing application?

Do fashion photographers have a lower daily rate today just because every mobile has a 12 megapixel camera?

Have people stopped going to the cinema just because they own a 3chip DV camera?

Guys, in the end the pictures will get better; talent will emerge earlier; everyone will have more fun (except those with lesser talent but bigger pocket books).

Make movies, not discussions…

Let the suck talent burn out unable to hide behind the "cost" of ownership for the "right" to get the work... :)

As my Grandma always used to say
"The chaff will always be sorted from the wheat."

It doesn't matter if it is gold plated chaff, it's still chaff.

The world is a big place. There is probably more than enough room and tolerance for the all genres (good and bad). 5000 reds is still a small amount amount compared to the volume of Sonys, Panys, Canons. So I don't understand the panic. Everyone that has grit and determination in their kit, along with RED will be fine.
