Question here, is there anybody can help me about the Red Cradle?

From the picture that I attach, there is something like power point that label "MAX 70W", what is its usage?

Someone ever told me that it can be use to change battery without shutting down the camera, is that true? =<

If you like damaging your batteries, sure.

It's a power outlet - called a D-tap (or P-tap) and you can power various accessories from it.

Some smart cookies worked out that because it's wired in parallel you can connect it to another battery and hotswap - however as the battery plate (and your battery) is not protected against overvoltage or reverse polarity on the D-tap connector you do this at great risk to your batteries

We had two killed by a hotswap cable on a show this year. Wasn't very happy about it.

Thanks for your advise Cail =)

Luckily I didn't do that on my Red.

But I'm interested at it. Can you tell me how do you hotswap the battery although I'm not to doing it =p

What cable are you using and how its work?

Aiks...

I'm a newbie...

Can you explain more details of your explanation?

What is "suicide cable"?

Help please brother~

suicide cable has 2 of the same connector. this allows you to reverse cable runs and in the case of the camera you basically temporarily parallel a second battery in the circuit, take out the dead battery and replace with new...then remove the cable. Called a suicide because you create a dead short in an AC run and or double up DC voltage and frying components.
