Hi

Long time lurked, first of many posts I hope.

Given the November 3 announcement and my outline planning permission for a Scarlet purchase, I am wondering if there is somewhere that you can download ten or so minutes of stock footage that is in red code so I can fine tune my edit suite to be ready to hit the ground running when my Scarlet arrives.

I realise the subject might have been raised before and that some of you might be slapping your foreheads and shouting do a search you moron, but what would you put in the search field, and wanted topmost something rather than just lurking forever.

So,your indulgence is asked and hopefully bestowed.

Cheers

Kevin

Hello Kevin,

Welcome to your fist post!

I'm not sure if Scarlet R3D are available... I don't think so. But if it works with 4k or 5k material it also shoud in 3k.

It looks like spec are going to change for Scarlett. But it seem that it will stick to the 3k resolution... who knows? Joseph, Ketch... Jim ;-)

Pat

PS: other will chime in for 4k R3D with HDRx footage I suppose...

what do you mean you're not sure, this time it's official, in 5 weeks scarlet should be shipping, and you're saying there is no single working unit ?
Jarred posted scarlet R3D a few months ago, it was like 0.5 seconds, better than nothing, but I think all of us who's been waiting, literally for years, deserve a very tiny bit of extra attention,
I know that no company does that, but that's what makes Red - Red

Hi

Sorry for the confusion, any old red code stock footage would do. I am guessing that if it works with 2k or 4k it should work with 3k.

Then again I might just be a bit naive.

Thank you for your answers and welcomes

Cheers

Kevin

No worry, I'm sure Scarlet will be released very soon. But I still didn't see much REDCODE RAW FILES (R3D) shot with the Scarlet around on this forum.
