Calling on the experts as I'm wasting huge amounts of time and I'm sure there is an easier way.
I have a few HDRx clips, I'm bringing them into Red Cine-x and tweaking the A track and X track individually (just basic exposure adjustment) then exporting them out to a TIFF or JPEG sequence.
I then combine these in a 3rd party app (photomatix) to get the HDR look I'm after.
Currently the only way I can work out how to do this is by adding the A track to the timeline, adjust exposure then export timeline to a TIFF sequence and then renaming ever file with another app to have "A" suffix
Then clear timeline and repeat process with the X track and change file names to have an "X" suffix.
Surely there is a way to just select the single R3D clip and export both A and X tracks as TIFF sequence with a single option? Maybe it can even name them with the track suffix (A or X) which makes combining later in Photomatix easier/faster.
I'm sure there is a simpler and faster way than what I'm doing right now. I havn't been able to work it out without adding individual tracks to the timeline first.
I'm trying to shoot hotel rooms without having to apply ND film to all the windows which is what was previously done (an ARRI Mini was used) but I think I can save hours of time on the shoots by using the Dragon and HDRx
This is the look we're trying to arrive at (not my video): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pI8SxGt_YTg
Thanks in advance for any tips on this. My current workflow means I wont finish the project for months!
