Red Cine Won't Open - Help!

It was working fine and now after several failed attempts to import via Crimson, Red Cine won't even open.

When I try to open, it looks as if it will (screen goes black, red cine icon comes up) and then poof - it doesn't. Just reverts back to the desk top.

Anyone know how to solve this?

Trying to do my low budget color correct via Crimson and Red Cine has got to be the most unstable buggy POS software I've encountered in a while. Been spending all night trying to get my XML to open and now I can't even open RC.

Considering I've a deadline tomorrow, any help would be big.

You need clear the Folder, Intermediates, ( User/documents/Crimson Workflow Documents/intermediates/"your most recently project"

I have the same problem but don't use Crimson.

Does just clearing the "intermediates" folder do the trick?


I installed FCP 7.0 and v20 if Redcine and have the same issue. It looks like it wants to open, logo comes up and then the entire program closes.

OK...after reading a few other posts here I removed the "Redcine" folder from the Library and Redcine opened up without any trouble.

It also generated a new folder in the Library.

Problem solved.

One possible solution might be to uninstall Redcine and re-install it. Try the latest 20 version

My Redcine was out since 2 week, i clean the intermediates folder and it work now, thank.

Redcine crashes on start up

Redcine crashes on start up

I just updated to 10.5.8 and now Redcine (v. 3.1.8) crashes on startup. I installed V20.0.0 hoping it would work but no luck. I've also trashed the Redcine folder and checked permissions. Not too sure what else to try.
