RED Charger problems anyone?

I have the same problem, left side it is not working, or only went its decided to do. Nightmare, It is not how shall be. WHy Red does not give any direction to follow to resolve the problem? Send from Europe (my case) it is expensive and very slow...

I have been dealing with this for a while. My advice is that if you haven't already, play around with the battery once it is mounted and the charger is on (be careful not to shock yourself). Apply some pressure on top of the battery and see if it makes contact. I actually got terminal two, which for me had not been working in 6 months +, working last week by applying a bit of extra pressure on the left side of the battery. There is obviously a bad contact on that side... anyhow it's been working fine for almost 10 days now.

Sorry, not scientific in the least but maybe it will get you some more life out of the charger for now.

I have 11 batteries and four Red chargers. Only ONE of the chargers is working faultlessly... the other three have some kind of trouble, permanent or occasional. And RED tells you to buy another one, no servicing.
Just got an IDX, which I find far better built. By the way, I have used Sony or Anton Bauer chargers for years... never a problem. I think thar RED had to solve quickly all the "peripherals" and accesories when the camera was ready... they sort of abused "outsourcing" and non-proved makes. Fortunately they seem not to be going to repeat that with Epics and Scarlets.

My charger has recently stopped functioning as an AC adapter which bummed me out, but so it goes. I now have a stand alone AC adapter.

Likewise. But I wasn't starting and stopping it a lot. I've only used it to boot the camera about 10 times. Everything just seems to stop working after the 1 year warranty, eh?

I'm interested in your stand alone AC adapter? Where can I get one? And is it cheaper than the red travel charger?

If it's out of warranty, RED will not fix the Red charger. My left channel is completely shot, won't charge at all. The right one is starting to act funny too but still charges. I know of someone fixing the Red Chargers and batteries. PM me if you're interested. I'm about to send my charger in for repair since Red won't repair it. I really hope the Epic/Scarlet are much better off when it comes to power/power connectors/chargers/batteries/battery plates/lemo cables.

I just ordered up the Bebob 2-channel charger. It's only 250 euros and comes with a 2-year warranty. Seemed like a bargain!

I like the idea of the 4-channel Switronix... I just don't like the price.

We've got a charger that works when one battery is on one side and the other on the other but not the other way round.
