Hi Guys

looks like my RED charger died yesterday. Is there a cheaper alternative from maybe a 3rd party company that can also charge the RED bricks ? I need a replacement asap and cant wait until the original charger is sent off to RED and getting fixed. besides my warranty period is over so it will cost a bit of $$ anyway, are there any cheaper alternatives ?

Thanks for the help.

Have a look at the options from Switronix, I've been very happy with the chargers I've got from them. They make models specifically for the RED Brick batteries.

The Switronix Quad charger is the best one you can get for Red Bricks. Also a bit expensive. But I'm sure their cheaper ones are great too.

I would recommened to buy two channel chargers. If you buy two of them instead of a quad charger, at least there is one left when the other breaks...

I learned that the hard way.

Off course you can always buy the quad one and a cheaper one like I suggested as back up ;-)

We're sending all three of our recently dead RED chargers in. It's 200.00 a pop. The G Media Charger is 125 or 220.00 new, depending which one you buy and is simultaneous. Voltage per batt is lower so it's faster with two but slower with one. Either way, we want to purchase one as a back up. Also, we have a job coming up and can't afford the turn around for repair to be without a charger.

Thanks for the feedback guys,
I was also in the market for a new charger (my 2 Red chargers are dead) and a few batteries, I think I'll follow your advice and go with the Globalmediapro ones.

Like Tim, I'm wondering about the difference between the Dynacore and the Globalmediapro charger, except the fact that the Dynacore is half the price of the Globalmediapro charger, they seem identical...

I'm looking for chargers too. Anyone deal with Global Media? Seems a little odd to me. 125.00 for one and 240.00 for another that looks the same. Dynacore sounds too good to be true. Not looking for a quad.
