  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

red case

Very nice. Separate case for lenses? Wouldn't fit or you have too many?

Cheers,

Jim

CORRECTION: RED sent us the cheaper, non-laser-cut case.

I just want to set the record straight here. RED was not in error. I was. We THOUGHT we had ordered the expensive, laser-cut Pelican case. What we actually were charged for, however, was just a normal, pick 'n' pluck Pelican case.

Sorry for the confusion to all.

Regardless, I'd still recommend a Pelican 1660 case. You can put all sorts of goodies in there and not have to completely breakdown your camera after every move.

It's a very old case made by Samcine in London and came with the set of Standards when I bought it. I don't care for the latches on it much, but it's light and sturdy. I've gotten the "what's in there fish tackle?" from a stewardess when boarding a plane...

Thanks for the clarification. Did you get a decent result plucking your own foam? Certainly sounds like a cost effective solution.

At Filmtools, we also sell the Pelican Cases with pick 'n' pluck foam. They can be found on our website here: http://www.filmtools.com/pelicancases1.html

If you're not sure which case you may need, the dimensions (interior and exterior) are on our website, but you can also bring in some equipment and try them out. We stock a large variety of Pelican's cases.

Glad to see Filmtools here!

At Abel we (I) have a preference for Storm cases over Pelican, although we do sell both. People are also free to come by to check out gear.

Storm Cases are excellent, 2950 is a perfect fit. Mitch…tell Christy to hassle them so that I finaly get my 2500
