I wonder why there is no motors on the lenses? It's a tricky thing to shoot action sports without proper "studio" setup.
Anyone know what cameras were on the live broadcast? It doesn't look like ⅔CCD on some angles. But looks like Sony 900 series from the others...

Actually I'm in Sochito film alpineski, in krasnaya polyana to be more prcise, we work for the OBS and we use the hd camera because it'll be impossible to follow a skier without a fochs and zoom rig... Sorry for my english...

Sadly to said but I stuck in my studio too. My daughter is volunteer at this olympic games. I asked her to shoot any interesting gears (especially RED gears of course ) to joy me a bit

I'm Sochi working with a Cineflex Gyro. Met some of the crew shooting with Red Epic's ( please note that my Russian is very limited, ) but as I understood they use 20 Epic's for the Official Olympic film.
He said he could use another 40 since it was so much to shoot.
