FYI the typical racket is to steal equipment in toronto and then ship it off to the 3rd world. It could be anywhere from Iran to pakistan. Typically it's easy to import via bribes. I was on a set in India with tons of William F. White lights on their set.
I'd image that taxi went straight to the airport.
I'd second this logic. No one would check in customs. A stolen Red camera in Toronto would be difficult to hide. Try the number occasionally, he may just be taking out the SIM and using it for scams. I thought all sims need to registered? The police can't help there? I've seen what can be done with tracking sims down after crimes, and it's incredible.
