Happy New Year Everyone. Does anyone have an answer to the following:
"Running Build 18 in 4K ANA mode and we have found we can only use either the VF or the on board monitor at any one time or the monitoring via the HDSDI goes weird. With all three plugged in the HDSDI output has a 50% translucent grey out on either sides of the image. It looks a bit like a 4x3 protect indicator but not quite right. Simply unplug either the VF or the on board monitor and the HDSDI output corrects itself to the correct 16x9 letterbox 2X anamorphic desqueeze.

Is this a limitation of the camera or a limitation of my ability to correctly set the menu? Presently shooting with irate director so would love a response"
Thanks

You're stuck choosing between EVF or Red LCD... That's the way it is on Build 18/ Anamorphic.
You're stuck to using a HDSDI monitor like a panasonic 7" or 8'4 inch if you want a monitor on-board with the EVF.
I can help you out with one if you need it urgently.

ANA monitoring

ANA monitoring

There is a bug in the Build 18 ANA monitor firmware.

If you are using both the EVF and the LCD outputs, the HDMI / HD-SDI output is not framing for the de-squeezed 2.40:1 area.

It's framing for the 1.21 ANA recorded area instead. We'll fix this up as soon as possible.

Meanwhile if you can, avoid the use of one or the other of EVF and LCD output if you need a correctly framed HDMI or HD-SDI output.

Hi Mark,
Thanks for info & offer. We have 17" HD Panasonic. Good to know that we can only use one or the other onboard/evf for 2.40 viewing.
Cheers & Happy New Year.
