Will Red Bricks work with ANY V-Mount back plate?Or would it strictly work with RED Backpack/RED Backpack Quick Plate. Any help would be greatly appreciated. What are you guys using? Thanks.

THey should work just fine but if you have a specific plate in mind, please post it so that others can provide feedback on that particular configuration. Many of the existing battery plate options have been explored and documented on here.

RED Bricks or any V-mount battery will work with any matching V-Mount plate for power only (DC + & -)
Data communication is another matter, as The RED bricks have magnetic reed switches installed that have to be activated
by a properly positioned magnet in the matching mounting plate to enable communication.
So it will depend on your application, as to the need for data communication or just power supply.

Will other v-mount batteries work on the RED plate?

Rick, I have the view factor product and it is solid!! great design. BUT you must be aware that it will indicate voltage in the LCD not % remaining power. I am fine with it as I can read voltage drop and know when it is nearly empty - and - I always have my side0handle with a redvolt which becomes my 30min power buffer when brick is empty and I want to hot-plug a new brick

Okay, so I'm looking at either the View Factor

http://www.viewfactor.net/products/epic-scarlet-acc/idx-apu.html

or the Cinema Oxide Battery plates as an option with RED Bricks

http://cinemaoxide.com/oxide-battery-plate.php

Does anyone currently happen to use either of these battery plates successfully with RED Bricks and still get DATA information from the Bricks to your Scarlet? Thanks again...
