Hello Guys, I have RED ONE MX, I have 4 red bricks and it seems 3 of them works fine with the camera, But when i use one another of my Red brick it boots the camera and RED logo appear for a while than the camera goes off, I tried several time but no hope, and the other 3 red bricks works well on the same V mount. Some information and help would be appreciated.

Do the five red LEDs on the side light up fully when it is charged?

Was the fourth Red Brick working fine and just now stopped working, or did you buy it secondhand and it has never worked?

If it has just stopped working, was it ever dropped? If so, then wires inside may have got snapped. This should only be fixed by someone who understands the extreme fire dangers of Lithium Ion (LiIon) batteries if they are not repaired correctly.

Also check that there is no melting or distortion of the electrical contacts of the battery that is stopping the battery charging, or making good contact with the battery plate.

when charging just 4 LEDs light up and it was working fine before. I bought it used.

Did you check the condition of the battery contacts?

Also, it is possible that the battery may have come to the end of it's useful life. No battery lasts forever. IF it's end of life, then it may indicate it's full, but actually does not hold enough charge to power your camera for very long.

Thanks Eric for reply, Last night i put the battery on charge, the battery is charging fully with 5 LED's lights up.
It looks its end of its life maybe.

If you can get the camera to boot up fully long enough (perhaps using a hotswap plate if you have one), and your battery plate passes data information (normally shows percentage power in the display EVF or LCD) try pressing UNDO button and the joystick simultaneously. Then look on the little LCD screen above the joystick on the back of the camera. This shows the hours of use of the camera, and a number after a word "CYC" which indicates number of charge cycles of an attached Red Brick battery.

Press UNDO and joystick again to get back to the normal display.

I assume you've checked the contacts and they are OK?

Thanks Eric, The Problem was from the Battery and V-mount Contact , I have checked the battery with another V-mount plate, it works, my other 3 battery work well with both mounts.
It looks that the V-mount and the battery didn't fit to each other.
BTW: the life cycle was 135, its a lot ? what does it mean ?

135 full discharge/recharge CYCles is not a lot, so your battery cells are probably still OK.

Look really closely at the battery contacts - there should be no sign of melted plastic around the contact holes, and nothing obstructing the holes. Melted plastic is a sign that a contact has got hot - this is due to the contact being poor due to the pin not touching the sides of the socket very well. This makes a high resistance point contact which generates heat.

On the battery plate that does not work, check that the springy bit of the pins is still above the surface of the pin. On Red's battery plates the metal of the pins isn't springy enough and over time the springy bit gets pushed in and no longer makes good contact with the sides of the battery contact holes. You can use a pin, needle or tiny instrument screwdriver to prise the springy bit out again slightly - not all the way out or it'll probably break off from metal fatigue!

Also, when the dodgy battery is on the suspect plate, does it sit all the way down on the plate? Check for any misalignment - bits of tape on the plate or the back of the battery can cause the two not to quite line up fully.

Thank you Bro for your kind advices, I did what you've just mentioned and its now working like a charm.
