I'm considering buying a Litepanels Astra which has a maximum power draw of 110W - unusually high for an LED panel, due to the unusually high brightness. I have read on several forums that many v-lock batteries will not power the Astra at 100% brightness, I assume because the batteries have a maximum amps output that doesn't cut it. Does anyone know if the Red Bricks can handle powering a 110W fixture like the Astra? And on a side note, has anyone used the Dracast panels? Not as bright as the Astras, but I'm considering them as a cheaper option.

Any info would be great!

Well the nominal voltage of the RED Bricks is 14.4v... Voltage X Amperage = Wattage. I'm not 100% certain on the RED Bricks about amp draw, but I know on my PAGlinks, it's 8 amps. So at the nominal voltage, that's 115w... and these batteries typical go from around 16v fully charged down to low 13v when they are dead, but with the high draw of that LED, the light would probably die by the time the battery reached 14v remaining. Not ideal.

One nice feature of the PAGlink batteries is that they are stackable, which actually increases the amp draw. So two PAGLinks can do up to 12amps, meaning you should be able to draw around 150+ watts without issue. Granted, the batteries cost a bit more and you'd need two per light, but you'd be able to fully power the light and with the higher amp draw capability you'd be able to successfully use all the juice in both of the stacked batteries (vs. only being able to use a partial RED Brick if the amp draw is too much as the battery's voltage drops)

thanks josh. i already have 3 red bricks (14.8V, 153Wh), so i'm hoping to find out their maximum draw. i read somewhere that it's 136W, but i'm not sure.
