Does someone have a review that they can point me to of the Bomb EVF? I have heard some good things (clarity, comfort) and not so good things (sync issues, light leakage) and was wondering if anyone has done a professional review.

That being said, personal opinions and reviews would be nice as well.

I haven't been able to find any comprehensive coverage on the device.

Thank you

I would like a comparison of the Bomb EVF to the Original Red One EVF too. I have the original EVF and a Bomb on back order. I want to know if its worth the wait ?:)

Yes thats precisely what I'd like to know, haha. Is it worth it! I don't mind spending the money if it's good, but I've heard mixed emotions which is why I'd like an actual review of sorts. I guess it doesn't exist? I tried googling one briefly, couldn't find it.

Well dear friends, i have a Epic-x and a Red One. Before the Epic-X entert my house i Used the Bomb on my Red One.
It has internel heating, is sharper and much lighter and smaller tha the old one.

But using it on your Red one you will mis keys and you have no menu like on your old one. So you can not see in your viewfinder if you have any dropped frames for example.
It is no problem when you have your LCD on your camera to all the time to get in to your menu's

When you put the Bomb on your Epic and probally also on the Scarlett 4K you have everyting the same as on you Old EVF.

What i miss on it at the moment is that you can't change contrast on it, maybe it wil come.

It is a very good evf but to be really honest I preferred the image quality of the original evf. The size and weight of the new evf are great and these are of course very important factors. You have to push against the eye piece to get a uniform clear image. You cannot turn the heating off which is a bit silly in a country like Australia.

I see the color shift with the brightness change. I have been too busy shooting to spend time trying to figure it out.

See color shifting would be something of a problem. I really want an EVF that has pristine color accuracy; but the 720p is really hard to pass up on the Bomb EVF.

The image on the Bomb is smaller and the optics inferior imho. From an image perspective I prefer the Original by a large margin. My biggest beef with the Bomb is the poor blacking (let Red discover flocking!) of the edges that are backlit by the image, you see a constant circle around your image.
It is much smaller overall and lighter and that might be worth the trade-off for you.
