  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Red Bible Coming 2009?

I long wanted to make a Red DVD or book, but only recently has it slowed down enough that you could make one that wouldnt be horrible outdated by the time it was available. Now there are people far more qualified to make such a thing.

You really have to use this thing 8 hours a day for quite a while to be able to write a book on it and have it be compelling. Especially, knowledge in the area of lenses would be indispensable. Someone will do it though eventually because of the particular market for the camera. No one would do one for a Viper, Sony or Panasonic though because the market is so different and limited.

And you wouldn't want the book to be from one perspective. A collection of some very smart people who specialize in all aspects of digital cinema production would be best.

Once Epic and Scarlets are out, it'd make sense to have one 'Bible' for them all, since theory of operation is very similar.

Jannard 1:1-5

Jannard 1:1-5

1 In 1999 Jannard created the Red and the One.

2 And the cameras were without form, and void; and only Sony, Pany, and Canon were under the hands of the filmmaker. But the Red One soon moved under the hands of the filmmaker.

3 And Jannard said, Let there be a revolution: and there was a lot of testing and unbelief before that revolution made ground.

4 And Jannard saw the Red one, that it was good: and Jannard divided the light from the darkness.

5 And Jannard called the camera Red One, and then later he called it DSMC. And the Red One with the DSMC were in the first decade.
