Red Believer Pre Order deal

Since so many exciting things are happening on Nov. 3rd, I wish red was doing a "believer scarlet deal"

(Its just a fun thread so no one get all sassy.)

I would love if Red gave you the option to preorder the scarlet for $1000 less before we knew the specs of the scarlet, and the competition.




( I guess it wouldn't matter because everyone is buying Red anyway)
Red is pretty addicting, can't think of anything else at this point haha.

I'm kind of hoping that there is no room whatsoever for a $1000 discount.

Whatever the price will be on the 3. you can pretty much assume that the discount is already baked in.

I don't need a $1000 discount, if I could lay my hands on Scarlet within a week of preordering without knowing the final spec. I would be more than happy.

We all have our moments of weakness.

The truth of the matter is RED is about to sell so many cameras that the biggest part of the announcement may be the delivery part. Perhaps they have ramped up the production lines to the point where the wait won't be long and if that's true, then this is a huge moment for Jim and the RED team. It will signify a major change in their ability to meet demand and that could be very bad news for a lot of other companies.

It would be great if they indeed could meet the demand, but even apple, with the ipad2 had similar problems. It would be great to get it sooner then later, but either way, we will have an awesome camera in our hands soon!

I think the "blow your tits off" Nov 3rd news will be two fold. One may be delivery, the other, will likely be some beefed up specs (given Jim's recent "Scarlet Preview" post about how Scarlet is now professional). Furthermore, I would imagine a bump in price correlates with a bump in specs.
Can't wait to find out about both. =)

I would pay a premium for an opportunity to buy the scarlet without even needing to know the specs.

Haha, i'm here on N3 and i'll be at canon on N3. It's not sad, i'm a businessman who is looking to buy a tool for my business. If either company tick enough boxes on my checklist, they will get my money.
