RED Battery Problems

Im having an issue with my camera cutting out, if i bump the battery, not sure if its a battery issue or the V-Lock Mount, I don't have access to other batteries so i can't test to see which is the problem. Ive check the terminals they seem to be in order.

Are you using a 3rd party mount like IDX? Do you have a pic of your setup?

Paul, send it to John Ritter. I had same issue. He re-celled two of them and they work like champs again.

They are probably 4 years old now, they charge properly had now power issues with them other than when they are bumped (lightly) the camera cuts out

No third Party mounts, this is the RED V-lock. no pics

If you look closely at the pins on the V-Lock Mount, if there is a springy section, make sure it's sticking out enough to make good contact with the corresponding contacts on the batteries. You can use a fine instrument screwdriver, scalpel or toothpick to prise it outwards again - be gentle as prying it out too much could break it off.

On some of the old Red V-Lock plates, the springy sections would be compressed into the pins to the point where they no longer pressed against the sides of the battery contacts.
