Red Backpack Base Plate Good?

Hiya,

We have a Viewfactor V-Mount plate and PagLink batteries with our Red Epic MX.
Red recently looked at our Epic and found that there are many power drops happening to the camera. The Viewfactor plate has never worked that well, the batteries are not completely secured and can fall off or loose power.
So we are looking at upgrading.

Is the Red Backpage Base Plate good?

Are there any limitations I should be aware off?
Right now I can only see the voltage on the battery, would be nice if it showed the time instead. Is that possible with this plate?

never tried it but im sure it works =). there are a loty of 3rd party options to choose from as well
