Hi all. . .
I'm trying to figure out if the known R3D/multi-track audio timecode issue is going to be a problem for our production or not. Many (most?) of our R3D files have multiple embedded audio tracks, and these audio tracks are sometimes the only audio available.
We intend to send the completely edited film (a 2 1/2 hour feature) to a colorist for finishing. This will involve reaccessing the R3D files on their system. Since the color work will likely be done on Resolve or Scratch or. . . I want to know if an EDL file created in Premiere Pro will cleanly transfer to another system without any syncronization incidents.
We had exactly zero issues going from FCP 6 to Scratch, and I'm hoping that we can do the very same thing with Premiere Pro, as well. If there is going to be an issue, I want to know now, before we begin editing the film, so that we can just stick with FCP.
Thanks.
Stephen
