  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Red at www.cinematography.com, why so much bashing?

Hi,

Not aware of any obvious bashing, somebody who had been banned here until recently made an inflammatory post.

Some are like that. They once picked some of my footage and mentioned me by name (though I've never posted there) just to shred it left and right. Now some of my footage deserves this, but there wasn't any element of 'lets help the guy get better' it was just to piss all over me, perhaps to make them feel better.

There are some quality, professional posters over there that seem to get drowned out by the others. The other subforums are better. All in all its a good forum if you skip the Red subforum.

I don't think it was as bad as that, just there were very high expectations about RED One when it was first released.

Not at all, I am just amazed how quiet it is here with 5,000 cameras sold.

Well, what is there to post? There's already plenty of example footage so no more need for us to post that. Most of the accessories have been talked about ad nauseum. Though every so often someone discovers something new so I usually check the Accessories forum first. Jim hasn't posted anything substantial in a long time and endless conjecture got old for me about 6 months ago (or more). I still log on probably every day, I just don't post like I used to because there's not much to post about.

Wow, I just wrote a rather lengthy response that when submitted said that I had pointed to an invalid thread. Bummer.

Not sure I have the energy to rewrite that one.
