  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Red Around The World

Lovely work congrats.

Did you shoot any other stuff in Parc Guell Barcelona? How did it all look as im writing a feature to be filmed there at some point next year on red, whats included in the edit looks great - got quite a lot to film in there . . . and lots of other places in Barcelona.

Andrew.

Awesome work.. I think it shows how versatile this camera is when put in the right hands.
Nice work... really motivating...

Still patiently waiting...

What was nice, I didn't have the normal 40 person circus following me around.

JIM & RED team.....Thankyou.

This is the singular most important concept of the RED in my opinion: it allows us to do away with many of the machinations surrounding "professional" filmmaking. Granted, it is necessary at times, but often it's not. Every time I'm on set and see ten PAs standing around, a truck full of lighting gear sitting around in the bright ass California sun (for a day ext. shoot at the beach) - I question, am I missing something?

On a recent commercial I was on, not going to say which, I watched the focus puller feigning to pull. Bullsh*t. The shots that were achieved with a 40-50 person unit, could easily have been achieved by three or four talented film students. Operative word is "talented."

I was tough shooting in Spain, Crews were hard working, but others were lazy letting down the team. The Parc was always busy.....you will need some serious crowd control, Audio would be tough as well. It can be done though. But think about the crowd control. Traffic is a night mare too.
Over all, Barcelona is an awesome backdrop, great locations everywhere. Like NY but different.

Thanks Big T. Good to know, thanks for the info. The Parc has been busy every time i have been there on research trips. The feature i'm writing is a period piece so we already have a big problem anyway.

Both the spots really look fantastic - just watched them again. Can't wait to get my cam now.
