Red and AE CS3

I will be receiving files shot 4K with a Red. My comp size will be 5760 x 1080. Ergo, shooting in 4K. I've never received, or worked with 4K files.

How should I ask that selects be delivered to me?

Is a straight QT OK?

Anything else I should know?

without knowing the details, I would say that you need to either:

1) have the footage delivered to you as 4K DPX or tiffs.
2) use the free tools from RED to prepare 4K DPX or tiff frames from the camera clips

stock up on all the RAM you can get and the best video card you can afford

by tiffs, do you mean a tiff sequence?

mac is a 3GHz quad core, 8 GB ram and nice video card, so that should be fine.

Uncompressed QT should work ok too depending on your established pipeline.

Make sure you use a format that allows you for a minimun of 10bit color depth ! like DPX, Tiff (16bit) or uncompressed qt files 10bit
