Someone please explain to me why looking at the same footage in RED Alert and in Quicktime (via the proxies) gives me two different results - both in terms of color and sharpness. All settings in RED Alert set to best possible setting and still I'm seeing the sharpest picture in the proxies???

Just notices that the picture was resize after uploading it. I'll post a link to my own server soon.

Proxies don't respect curves…

I'm having a similiar problem. Just shot a concert (under all tungsten lighting) and no matter what i do the proxies are coming up with very magenta skin tones, I white ballanced the camera, skin tones looked good on the monitor, re rendered proxies in Red Alert being careful only to change things that should affect the proxies, (i didnt change curves) and even if i make the grade too green in Red alert the Quicktime proxies look horribly magenta in the skin tones. help!

Proxies don't support the NSC yet. Transcode to something like ProRes.
