I just re-installed my osx and all the other programs.
But somehow red alert and rush crashes when I tried to convert the footage
to prores. I re-installed few time on the same computer and also other computers, but it's same. Red alert and rush doesn't render. It goes down
few seconds after I press render button. Does anybody know how to fix it?
I need to finish editing of this project before Wednesday.

Non standard characters in foldernames or filenames

Non standard characters in foldernames or filenames

The main culprit seems to be non standard (*&^%$, etc) meaning non alphanumeric characters in the parent, subfolders where the R3D is located, or in the filename itself.

If that is not it, and believe me - this problem has tortured me - a few things that at times have helped, but are not always a problem - make sure ClipFinder is not running at the same time - that's been a problem personally - output is not to a slow drive, and other programs are not running that use the QT engine. Make sure the versions of RA and RR are the SAME. Make sure the QT codec is up to date, etc...
