  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RED ADOBE CS5???

No, not compatible. Not sure why you would want to??? RED support is built into CS5's default format plugins and there's an update you can download that supports the newer builds, color science and MX footage. CS4 plugin does none of that and hasn't been updated in over a year...

I don't believe some of the advanced codec support, including R3D, is usable in the demo. It works right out of the box on the full version, the update you download only adds support for the new "color science" and makes your MX footage look the proper color instead of green. The link to the Adobe update is on the RED tools download thread. The link is in my sig.

Update the demo version to 5.0.1, then get the new M-X/build 30 plugin from labs.adobe.com and install per the instructions.

Works fine.

Ok so my instructions above are outdated as of today :D

Just update it to 5.0.2 for instant build 30 support, RedRocket acceleration plus .RMD sidecar support (grade in RedCine-X, save the .RMD file, open in Premiere CS5.0.2 with same grade intact) :)

FCP looks more and more like a dinosaur every day....
