What is the difference between this and the red touch 7" besides that i would need a lemo adaptor and cable. And the obvious that it is white.

Hi Nick,

As far as I know the only difference is this one is "hingeless" and you will need the LEMO adapter A if using it with a DSMC2 body. This is actually the newest version from Red:

Ok. Seems really odd that they would go this route and charge more for it. I am wondering if they are having issues with the hinged screens. I probably won't be the right buyer for you since i would end up spending more than a new monitor with all the extra accessories i need.

I think they made this version for people who want to mount their LCD in a location other than where the pogo pins are on the body. If you want to mount the hinged version on a noga or ultralight arm you will need TWO adapters, and with the adapter on the LCD it can end up a bit bulky. This hingeless version is much better for use on an arm.

This one is pretty much brand new, it still has the original plastic on the screen. It was only turned on once to make sure it works. Also, this was part of a special group-buy. I paid 10% more than the retail price of a normal black LCD. $3245 to be exact.
