ok heres the deal doing a doc with an hvx200 and red
hvx is the on street footage and the red is interviews
so our teleciner exported all the red as 1080 24p Apple pro res HQ
our hvx was imported as 720 24p Apple pro res HQ
no i was thinkin i would have to export the p2 footage through compressor to 1080 and then edit but im sick of wasting space on this stupid project someone told me apple pro res hq works together
so i droped the p2 footage in the reds 1080 24p APR FCP seq,s it bumps the p2 footage to 200 percent which should change the quality but when i switch back and forth between seq’s it looks practically the same framing and quality and playback
I’m just a little scared of doin this i’m not very experienced with mixing these things but is this fine if i just do it that way or will i run into any problems??, all i know from apple guys is they say pro res rocks , is this why it rocks ?
