RED 7.0 Touch has weird light bleeding on side. Is this normal?

I have a 7" touch and on the left side where the black border goes around the monitor (edge of the display where it stops) has light bleeding through it. Almost if the backlighting burnt it. Picture below. RED tech said they are on all the monitors they have. I wanted to check here with everyone to see if anyone with a 7" touch has this issue.

All the 7" Touch's have this. My Bomb Rep Informed me that this is normal and it's part of the design.
