Has Red said anything about updating the 50-150mm. I used it recently and really liked it. It was nice and light in comparison to the 18-85mm (HUGE!).

Me too, would really be nice next to the 17-50!

Yeah I was impressed by how well the 17-50 and 50-150 complemented each other.

RED...anyone?...50-150 update?..

Hello Please we are waiting for a little someting here.
why sptoping a product when you do not have a replacement. ????

I would not get your hopes up on this one, been a long time since EOL and nothing suggests there is a replacement.

Just a hunch here: The original 18-50 and 50-150 appear to be somehow related to the Sigma 18-50 and 50-150 still lenses. There's conjecture that the new Pro 17-50 is somehow related to the Tamron 17-50. So where's the new Pro 50-150??? Well, aside from Sigma, no one makes a lens in that length for the stills market, so perhaps there's no pathway to a Pro 50-150...

This is, of course, conjecture: I have no inside information.

Regards,
P

We tested one of these the other day... just a simple domestic lens.
It was sharper then hell! and with sensors being so good in low light, F5.6 was not a convern at all!

Now that RED has mounts for lenses like this, the world has just opened up for a lot of people.
