Hey Guys,

I've been looking for a review of the 17-50mm but I can not find a good review. Does anybody know of anybody who has done a detailed write up on the lens, or does anybody want to offer their thoughts? I am going to purchased one for a production but I just want to make sure that it is a quality lens.

I've searched the forums as well but my searches kept coming up empty... if you know of any good threads already on the subject I'd love to read those as well.

Thanks!

Hello Guys,

I have used the RED ZOOM LENS 17-50 with my RED Epic. I found it to be a pretty good lens for the price. I used it to shoot an video clip in a cinematic way along with my other RED Prime pro lenses (18, 25, 35, 85). I was very surprised by the overall image quality. But with the RED EPIC very good sensor, it is easier to get better image quality. And the 17-50 is definitely better the first RED ZOOM 18-50.

Thanks

The Tamron 17-50 is what's left if you shuck it. An OK lens, look for reviews on it.
