  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I also own the 18-50 & 300 but not sure if I want to sell those. Camera has been on test shoots only. Very minimal hours.
 
It's pretty much sitting around not doing anything. We also had a project that was supposed to be shot this summer that is no longer available until next year. I'm also busy with my work now and can't get around to make time to use the system. I should also mention that I'm the only investor in this equipment. However, I will be buying another RED down the road.

O! And I forgot to mention that I've been outbid twice already in the past month right here where there are only 2 RED's in the state of Michigan.

We would definately purchase all the camera equipment at the purchase price you paid(list price). We have no need for the lenses. Drop us a PM if you are interested.
 
You may laugh Facet but we have dealt with a lot of people here in both a buy and sell capacity and it's always been at face value. I appreciate that when it comes to RedOne bodies there is a premium due to demand and we are flexible to that.

We try to be a transparent as Red and make no profit off other community users with the equipment we sell on. I am not saying that's the case with RedOne bodies but it's where we start from.

Hi,

I know of a camera that changed hands 6 months ago at list price so the seller did make $2500 on an investment of $1000.

It will be interesting to analyze why?
I know a few others dusting on the shelves while the Sony F900 work almost every day.
Does anyone have an idea why is this happening?
Could it be that a good image is not enough where you have "an impossible" workflow?

Well for starters, I've been outbid twice in the past week.

I originally purchased the camera for a indie feature we were supposed to begin shooting this fall but has been postponed.

If I had a choice to shoot with a RED or F900 what do you think I'd pick? There could be other reasons why some are choosing to shoot with one and not the other.

Also just to let you know I've had a bunch of offers but I'm firm with my premium.
 
at a premium seems unfair...1. the post came across as a help plea for a non-working camera 2. the minute it changes hands the factory warranty is all but gone...well not totally gone but 90 days versus a year???

Isn't this supposed to be a user FRIENDLY forum. Why is everyone being so hostile? Someone should be able to comment, with being cursed at - whether it's being used as an expletive or not....
